Radical Skateboarder Dude Doing Radical Trick

November Featured Rider: Dylan Williams

Here at Freedom we plan on featuring one of our riders every month.

We want to make sure they all get the coverage they deserve, and a chance to show the rest of the world what a few rippers from Arizona can get up to.

Check out Dylan’s Interview below, as well as some photos taken just for this occasion.

5 reasons to ride for freedom:

  1. Brandon West is a generous guy
  2. Markus “Nasty” Neustaeder is the tm
  3. We all skate together for the most part
  4. Marty, Dave, and Levi
  5. We all hang out together a lot off our boards too

Top 5 reasons to work for freedom:
Haha, lets see.

  1. It’s super easy work
  2. You can call in whenever you want for whatever reason
  3. Brandon and Jason are more friends than bosses
  4. Watching skate videos all day
  5. Customers are usually cool so it’s not bad. The list goes on… Free food at the fast food restaurant neighbors etc.

Who’s cooler… Brandon or Jason (yes, I just went there)?
Hahaha, they are both really cool. Brandon is awesome right when you meet him but once you get to know Jason he’s hilarious. They are both tight!

Top 5 video parts of all time:
God, this is a hard one . . . So many good video parts! I’m not going to claim they are the top 5 best parts but I’ll change the question to the top 5 parts that get me psyched to go skate right now. In no order:

  1. All of the Lakai video parts
  2. Stefan Janoski in the habitat video
  3. Marty’s part in Filmbot Files
  4. John Rob in A Happy Medium or the Friends video
  5. Marcus Carr BB3
  6. Ryan Sublette Friends w/benefits

Top 5 beverages (alcohol/non alcohol):

  1. Lemonade
  2. Az iced tea
  3. Blue Powerade
  4. Chocolate Milk
  5. Milwaukee’s Best!

Tell me your best Ghetto D story:
I don’t know man; Dave is pretty mellow these days. I have only been really skating with him the last two years which is a little after his life of gnarly shit ended. But listening to all his stories from those times is awesome. These days we just drink Pabst and skate, nothing too crazy goes on.
If you’re not on a board, what are you normally doing?
When I’m not skating, I usually am in school or working at Freedom. I also watch a lot of movies and hang out with Steve and usually cause trouble with some influence from cheap deals at Top’s.
