We are pleased to present some coverage of our homeboy Markus.

He takes care of business with style but we should just let his pics and interview speak for themselves.

First off, list your set-up:

8.25 Freedom deck, Thunder trucks, Bones STF wheels, and 5 different kinds of bearings.

Who is your celebrity doppelganger?

I get Keanu Reeves, Steve Nash, Tom Cruise, and Andrew W.K. a lot. You tell me!

What skate video tops your list of all time favorites?

Misled Youth is pretty classic.

Out of all of the places you’ve traveled to, which location was your favorite to skate in?

Europe was great; going to Barcelona was a real treat, and LA’s always fun. Being home here or at any of the parks is cool too, though.

Now, compare those to Mesa!

I like how quiet & chill mesa is. It’s got a cozy hometown feel for me.

What’s it like teaching younger kids how to skate at Kids That Rip?

It’s just like mostly any other jobs involving kids. Its mostly awesome but it has its days, haha!

What’s up with Jack and Kate on Lost? I’m in season 2 and they still haven’t made any relationship progress. Are they gonna hook up soon or what?

What’s your favorite flavor cookie?

Snickerdoodles… they are awesome.

Last time I shot photos, you brought your dog along…

My dog’s name is Gypsie, she’s a mini dachsund and I love her more than life itself.

Back to skateboarding, what’s your favorite trick to do?

Probably a 3 flip. I finally learned them and it’s a pretty awesome feeling when you get a good one.

One last question, what skate magazines do you read most often?

The Skateboard Mag & Thrasher.

Freedom Does Scottsdale!
